Position overview:

The Store Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the sales team in a retail environment. This role, whilst reporting to the Shop Supervisor, involves assisting customers with product selection, processing transactions, and maintaining inventory. A successful Sales Assistant has strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a passion for sales. By providing knowledgeable and friendly service, they help create a positive shopping experience and contribute to achieving sales targets. Previous retail experience is beneficial but not always necessary.

Key responsibilities:

· Greet customers in the store

· Rotate and replenish stock and keep the store tidy

· Arrange displays correctly

· Place goods in a specific area during a sale or promotion to maximize sales

· Handle complaints and queries

· Cleaning duties in the store

· Follow all companies’ policies and procedures

· Control and put price on products

· Monitor the shop to deter and theft
